Thanks to Japanese…..

I have been learning Chinese since i was born, yet all my writing is in SIMPLIFIED CHINESE. Of course i do understand traditional Chinese ( which is still using in Taiwan) but i never could write it out as it is too complicated! and thanks to Japanese, now i have to practice to write it every day ( even though they are not all the same but traditional Chinese and Kanji are somewhat similar) ! I like traditional Chinese but it’s just difficult for me to memorize the Japanese pronunciation , character and at the same time memorizing the traditional Chinese character…

In case you don’t get what I’m talking about. Look (below) at yourself ! ( i can’t find a more complicated one LOL!)

Where to go if you don’t have much time in Seoul? Gwangjang Market!

Gwangjang market is also in my to-eat-list!

For those who don’t have much time (probably just a short business trip people) and if you really want to experience Korea, i would recommend Gwangjang Market! Gwangjang Market is one of the traditional market, you can eat all the authetic Korean street food there and they also a collection of fabrics on second floor!

If you ( i am actually also reminding myself 🙂 ) go Gwangjang Market, you have to eat Mayak Kimbap and Bindaetuk ( Mung Bean Pancake)!!!

One good thing about Gwangjang Market is that it opens at about around 10am and close at about 9 pm! This is really good for those that have really short time in Seoul ( coz i myself really understand you don’t have much time if it’s a business trip, you probably don’t even have a 1 day free time to walk around)

I MISSED JPLT APPLICATION!!!!!

I am so sad! I’ve missed the JPLT N5 application on this coming Dec!

Unbelievable! How come i miss it?! The reason i sign up for the Japanese class was to make sure i got my N5 this year ( at least i am doing sth in this year before it ends! ) :,(

Okay, i just gonna remind myself (or probably those out there whom like me have missed the application date!) .

JLPT test is on July and December. July test application opens on end of March to April whereas for December the application of the test is open on 1st of Sept and ends on 13th Sept.. ( just 13 days! this is so short! )

I gonna take the test ! N4! (eventhough i am in a N5 class and only had lesson until like lesson 8 -,-) but i m gonna sit for N4 next July!!!!!

My Food List – Galchi jorim at 고객식당 in Jeju!

I am not sure i should go this place because the galchi jorim (braised hairtail) is expensive (35,000 Won). I have saw some that commented there is nothing special about it but some are like they really like it. I guess i will go ( like i am going very soon -,-;) if i have free time.

고객식당 is popular among Korean because it appeared on some kind of food show. They are famous for their galchi jorim.

Anyway i just put it in my list just in case because the picture looks yummy and it’s in a market (shijang) so is easy to plan to go while visiting the market.

My Food List – Melon Bingsoo

Bingsoo is one of my favorite ! I like shaved ice!
When you talk about Melon Bingsoo, the most popular these days would like this picture below.

However! Recently i found this! I know there is not much different from the top one but still this looks new to me. I adore their idea of flipping the melon flesh and make it looks like a whole big melon! Underneath the melon flesh there are 2 types of it. One is yogurt with cheese cake ( <3) and another one is the traditional patbingsoo. Hope that they would be available all year round!

Besides the melon bingsoo, this one below i forgotten about the name but is kind of a traditional version of bingsoo. The picture looks nice. Hope i got a chance to try it out 🙂
